Determining the right Weight Distribution Kit ?
Determine the trailer tongue weight. This is the vertical weight of a level trailer over the coupler. Trailer weight can be found in the trailer's manual. A rough calculation is 10% of the gross trailer weight.

Match the tongue weight as closely as possible to the rating of the weight Distribution Kit (550 lbs., 750 lbs., 1,000 lbs. and 1,400 lbs.)

L2 is the total effective length from the head to center of pin hole.
Round and Trunnion Weight Distributing Systems have different
effective lengths due to the design of the system.
